FREEZE WARNING, FROST ADVISORY STARTING WEDNESDAY NIGHT

April 1, 2020 3:30 p.m.
A Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory are in effect starting Wednesday night in central Douglas County.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said the Freeze Warning is for the valleys of the southwestern part of the county including Camas Valley, Glendale, Tiller and Azalea. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 23 degrees are expected.
The Frost Advisory is for much of the county including Roseburg, Sutherlin, Elkton, Drain and Tri-City where temperatures of 33-36 degrees will result in frost formation.
The Freeze Warning and the Frost Advisory are in place from 10:00 p.m. Wednesday to 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
A Freeze Watch is also in effect from Thursday evening through Friday morning.
Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, and other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Forecasters said Friday morning is expected to be slightly colder than Thursday morning, so residents should expect two consecutive mornings of frost.
