3 new positive cases of COVID-19 are being reported in Douglas County as of Monday.
County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said that brings the number of confirmed cases in the county to 8. A week ago, there was only 1 positive case in the county. Dannenhoffer said Douglas Public Health Network has launched their epidemiology investigation related to the new cases, identifying who the individuals may have had contact with. Identifying information about the newest cases are not being released at this time. Close contacts of the confirmed cases will be notified by public health.
Along with the 8 positive cases, there have been 240 negative tests, 3 hospitalizations, zero deaths, and zero recovered from COVID-19 in Douglas County.
The local COVID-19 hotline remains open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. It is staffed by local volunteers. The number to call is 464-6550.
