A fifth positive case of COVID-19 was reported in Douglas County, as of Sunday.
County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer made the announcement of the new case. Dannenhoffer said the Douglas Public Health Network has launched their epidemiology investigation related to this case, identifying who this individual may have had contact with. Close contacts of the confirmed case will be notified by public health.
Along with the five positive cases, there have been 183 negative tests, zero deaths and zero recovered from COVID-19 in the county.
One of the first four county cases is now hospitalized, according to information released Saturday from DPHN.
