The Douglas Public Health Network has hosted 3 local COVID-19 drive through clinics at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
The last one on Tuesday, collected 43 samples. A total of 95 residents have been tested at these clinics, with their specimens flown to Quest Lab for processing. Results will be sent back in about a week to the health care provider that ordered the test. Those tested are asked to self-quarantine at home and continue to quarantine for 72 hours after symptoms subside.
At this time, residents can only get a COVID-19 test through their healthcare provider. Tests are being processed at the Oregon State Public Health Lab and a growing number of commercial labs like Quest and LabCorp.
DPHN has set up a new online tracking system for test results from county residents. The goal is to have the chart updated at 12:00 p.m. each day. For patient safety, no identifying information of those that had the testing done will be released.
