UMPQUA NATIONAL FOREST GOING TO VIRTUAL SERVICES

The Umpqua National Forest is closing all offices to the public and implementing virtual services to protect the health and safety of employees and members of the public during the COVID-19 outbreak, in accordance with federal and state authorities.
Customers needing information, permits and maps can call the offices weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Umpqua National Forest Supervisor Alice Carleton said as they work through an unpredictable and rapidly changing situation, everyone’s health and safety is their number one priority. The release said the actions were taken based on the best available medical advice to limit gatherings of large numbers of people and to promote social distancing.
