MAN JAILED FOR MENACING INCIDENT

A Roseburg man was jailed following a menacing incident on Monday.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just after 4:30 p.m. 56-year Gregory Tucker was taken into custody following an incident in the 1,000 block of Happy Valley Road.
The report said a deputy spoke with a caller and could hear the man yelling at her in the background. The woman screamed and the call disconnected. A Winston Police Officer arrived along with the deputy and was able to get the caller back on the phone and direct her to leave the house. The report said as the victim walked out the door, the suspect ran out behind her yelling “Call 911 shoot me now, shoot me now”.
Deputies could not see the suspect’s hands and he did not comply with orders to show his hands or get down on the ground. As a result, he was tased once. Medics arrived to check out his condition.
Tucker was charged with domestic menacing, resisting and for interfering with a police officer. He was detained on $21,250 bail.
