Mercy Foundation, Mercy Medical Center and the Douglas Public Health Network are seeking donated medical supplies.
Foundation President Lisa Platt said the groups are in need of unopened boxes of:
*masks
*gloves of all sizes
*gowns
Donations will be shared across the county among various medical providers that need these items to keep their workforce safe. The items listed are all currently in short supply due to the COVID-19 situation.
Platt said they are not able to accept any homemade masks at this time but support the efforts of those making them for community members that are not hospitalized. She said anyone that has the needed items in unopened boxes should call Mercy Foundation at 677-4818. Platt said they are serving as the collection site for this effort. Staff with the foundation can also pick up supplies from community members.
