NeighborWorks Umpqua’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance sites in Roseburg, Reedsport and Coos Bay will continue with their scheduled hours, but the system for processing tax forms has changed:
A release said those hours are:
*In Roseburg, Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Grand Apartments on Southeast Cass in downtown.
*In Reedsport, Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Project Blessing Food Pantry on South 20th Street
*In Coos Bay, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pony Village Mall on Virginia Avenue.
In order to follow the social distancing recommendations for the COVID-19 outbreak, each of the sites is now a drop-off site only. That means that taxpayers will not enter the sites. Instead, taxpayers need to drop off a copy of all their tax documents and complete the mandated Internal Revenue Service intake and authorization forms confirming their information. Those forms can be found at www.nqumpqua.org/taxes. They will also be outside of each site while it’s in operation.
