The administration of Phoenix School of Roseburg has decided to cancel this year’s annual Spring Dinner & Auction fundraiser due to local and national guidance around community events during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A release from Phoenix said the event was scheduled for April 19th on the school’s campus. Executive Director Thomas McGregor said the event is a major part of the school year where students share their creative talents with the community. He said it’s very sad to cancel the occasion.
The release said event planners have not determined a new date for the celebration. Principal Brandy Osborn said she hopes they can reschedule, or find a new way to have their donors enrich student’s lives.
