A total of 3 people have died and there are now 75 presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 in Oregon.
Information released Wednesday from the Oregon Health Authority said COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives. The cases are a 60-year old woman in Lane County who died at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield on Saturday, and a 71-year old man from Washington County, who died Tuesday at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Beaverton. The Lane County resident tested positive for the virus on Tuesday, after she had already passed away. The Washington County man received a positive result on Monday. Both had underlying conditions.
The 10 new cases include 4 in Marion County, 2 each in Lane and Washington counties and 1 case each in Benton and Yamhill counties.
1 death from the virus was announced on Saturday. Douglas County still has 1 presumptive positive case of COVID-19.
