MAN JAILED AFTER TRESPASSING AT HOSPITAL

A Roseburg man was jailed after a trespass incident at Mercy Medical Center on Saturday.
A report from the Roseburg Police said at about 5:30 p.m. officers contacted a 50-year old man outside the entrance to the Emergency Department. The report said the man had been asked to leave by hospital security but refused to do so. They said the man was confrontational with a nurse, then refused any medical treatment. Security said they had tried to escort the man off the property, but he refused to leave
The officer asked the man to leave several times, but he refused to do so. He then laid down on the ground and told police to take him to jail.
He was charged with second degree criminal trespass.
