MAN JAILED AFTER TWO INCIDENTS

A Roseburg man was jailed following two incidents in the downtown area that allegedly occurred about an hour apart on Tuesday.
Information from the Roseburg Police said at 5:00 p.m. 44-year old Jose Garcia, reportedly went into Rite Aid on Southeast Stephens and an announced to staff and customers that he was a registered sex offender. The report said he then selected a beer and drank it in the store. He also allegedly harassed a female customer by touching her lower back and buttocks.
He was charged with third degree theft, harassment and for offensive littering. Garcia was detained on $10,000 bail.
An hour earlier the suspect was cited for allegedly defecating outside the Oak Street Market.
