Celebration of Literacy is holding its Reading Fair on Saturday.
“Reading Around the World” is the theme. The event will take place at the Douglas County Fairgrounds from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A number of organizations have booths children can visit. Those include the United Community Action Network, the Sister City Program, Indian Youth Education, Altrusa International, the Umpqua Reading Council and more.
After visiting three booths, children are able to take a turn in the Bounce House. A cheetah from Wildlife Safari will visit at 11:00 a.m. and the Clown College from Eastwood School will be there at 1:00 p.m.
The Celebration of Literacy continues through March 7th. The series of events is presented by Altrusa International and the Umpqua Reading Council.
