MOTORCYCLIST HURT AFTER BEING HIT BY A CAR

A motorcyclist was hurt after being hit by a car Sunday afternoon in Roseburg.
Information from Roseburg Police said at 2:30 p.m. the motorist was traveling behind the motorcycle in the 1700 block of Lookingglass. The report said the motorcyclist slowed down to make a left-hand turn into his driveway, but the man driving the car did not have enough time to slow down before making contact with the back of the motorcycle.
The 57-year old motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. He is listed in good condition, according to a hospital spokesperson. The motorist, a 40-year old man, was cited for following too closely.
