A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy contacted the victim in on Fescue Lane shortly after 7:00 a.m.
The victim said the man had thrown her around inside the laundry room hurting her ribs.  He then allegedly came up from behind her and put her in a headlock, strangling her until everything “went black”.
Deputies searched the home but could not find the suspect. Later in the day, the man was located behind a home in the 100 block of Saddle Butte Road. 58-year old Robert Jones was taken into custody. He was also detained on a charge of menacing. Bail was initially set at $56,250.
