Roseburg received less than a half-inch of rain on Tuesday but most of it fell in a two-hour period.
Data from the National Weather Service in Medford said the Roseburg Regional Airport recorded .39 inches of rain in the 24-hour period ending at 12:00 a.m. Wednesday. However, .23 inches of that rain fell between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. with two-thirds of it coming down in the 6:00 a.m. hour.
The heavy rain, accompanied by gusty winds, led to power outages in the Elkton/Scottsburg area, and around Glide as well.
Rain is in the forecast for part of the next week in the Umpqua Valley. Conditions are expected to vary however with sunshine and highs in the middle 60s on Friday but snow possible Sunday night when the snow level drops to 600 feet.
