MAN JAILED FOR WEAPONS VIOLATIONS

A Roseburg man was jailed for weapons violations following an incident on Sunday afternoon.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 3:20 p.m. a caller reported that the suspect was intoxicated and had shot a round of ammunition from a hand gun off of his back deck. The suspect came outside when deputies arrived at the property in the 200 block of River Place Drive.
The report said the man initially denied shooting his gun, but after a gun casing was located in the backyard, the man admitted to shooting his gun about an hour before authorities arrived.
33-year old Garrett Rowland was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and for reckless endangering. He was detained on $67,250 bail.
