Girl Scouts of Oregon have kicked off the 2020 Girl Scout Cookie season this week.
Director of Communications for the organization, Sarah Shipe, said Girl Scouts are selling cookies door-to-door, at booths in stores and even via a Digital Cookie platform.
New this year is a brand-new cookie, Lemon-Ups. It is a crispy, lemon cookie baked with messages inspired by Girl Scout entrepreneurs. It joins the national 2020 lineup, which also includes favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas and Trefoils.
Girl Scouts are taking orders now from customers, for delivery beginning in mid-February. Cookies will be sold at retailers starting February 14th, continuing through early March. Customers can find a cookie booth near their location with the Cookie Finder at www.girlscoutsosw.org or use the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app available for iPhone or Android.
Shipe said 100 percent of net revenue earned from cookie sales remains within the local region.
