Umpqua Public Transportation District is still seeking candidates for a vacancy on its Board of Directors.
A release from the District said the person selected will serve the remainder of John Campbell’s term, which runs through June of 2021. Campbell resigned from the board effective December 3rd.
The Board has seven members. Each person is elected “at-large” by the registered voters in the district to serve a four-year term.
Those interested can get an information packet which has details about the District, the position, and the application and selection process. Call 440-6500 to obtain a packet or stop by the District’s office at 610 Southeast Rose in downtown Roseburg during regular business hours.
The deadline for submitting an application is this Friday. A new member will be selected at an upcoming meeting.
