A Roseburg man was jailed in a stolen vehicle incident on Sunday.
A report from the Roseburg Police said a victim had reported that his vehicle had been stolen from his home in the 900 block of Southeast Pine Street. Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office located the sedan near the corner of Diamond Lake and Stephens at about 3:45 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted and both the driver and the passenger were taken into custody.
During the investigation it was determined that the passenger, 28-year old Alex Dickson had allegedly stolen the vehicle, and the driver, a 26-year old Roseburg man, was driving it, but allegedly did not know that it had been stolen.
Dickson was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and initially detained on $50,000 bail. The other man was held for a parole violation and for driving while suspended. He was detained without bail.
