WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING

January 4, 2020 8:00 a.m.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10:00 a.m. Saturday for the Southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains, including the Crater Lake and Diamond Lake areas.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 6 to 9 inches of snow is expected with wind gusts between 40 and 50 miles per hour possible over exposed terrain. This includes highways 138, 230, and 62 north of Prospect.
Heavy snow and windy conditions will make travel difficult. Snowfall rates of one inch per hour at times and blowing snow will reduce visibility to one quarter of a mile or less.
Travelers should go to www.tripcheck.com to check road conditions before starting their trip.
