Two people were jailed for allegedly initiating a false report on Tuesday.
Information from Roseburg Police said at 10:00 a.m. an 18-year old Eugene woman called 911 and reported that her boyfriend had been stabbed by three unknown males. The woman took the 23-year old Roseburg man to the VA Urgent Care for treatment of minor injuries on his arm. The report said the pair reportedly concocted the story regarding the stabbing. During the continued investigation and after speaking to independent witnesses, police determined that the entire story was fabricated and the wounds on the man’s arm were self-inflicted.
Both were charged for the false report and second-degree disorderly conduct. The man was also charged with second-degree theft.
