LITHIA DONATING TO HELP CANCER PATIENTS

December 24, 2019 3:30 a.m.
For the third consecutive year, Lithia Ford/Lincoln of Roseburg helped sponsor the Community Cancer Center’s Power of Pink awareness effort by donating proceeds from vehicles sold during the month of October.
Darin Kell, General Sales Manager for Lithia in Roseburg said “knowing our donation stays in Roseburg and provides critical care resources for our local community members is especially important to us at Lithia”. He said he encouraged other businesses to join with them next year in support of the effort.
A release from the Community Cancer Center said that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During that time each year, many national and regional non-profit organizations come to this area to solicit donations. Tammy Turner, Executive Director of the Community Cancer Center said what many donors don’t realize is that those donations do not come back to citizens here in Douglas County.
Kell will present a check to the Community Cancer Center Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the CCC. The donation amount will be announced at that time.
