FIVE PEOPLE CITED FOR PROHIBITED CAMPING

Five people were cited for prohibited camping, in two separate incidents, by Roseburg Police on Wednesday.
An RPD report said at 8:45 a.m. officers contacted two people, ages 27 and 51, who were camping under tarps that had been erected in the County overflow parking lot at the corner of Diamond Lake and Fowler. The report said each person had at least one cart full of personal belongings beside them.
At 9:10 a.m. three people, ranging in age between 38 and 56, were found on the first floor of the downtown parking structure, laying on bedding and surrounded by personal belongings.
All five people were released after being cited.
