14 people were cited for prohibited camping by Roseburg Police, in four separate incidents on Saturday.
The RPD report said at 10:00 a.m. four people were contacted inside tents in a parking lot owned by Douglas County, at the corner of Fowler and Diamond Lake Boulevard. All of them had trash and personal belongings strewn about the area. Those cited ranged in age from 27 to 51.
At 10:30 a.m. three people were found camping under the Washington Street Bridge along the multi-use path. They had been warned about camping the previous day. This group ranged in age from 34 to 66 and also were cited for drinking in public.
At 11:00 a.m. four people, ranging in age from 30 to 68, were contacted under the same bridge, in sleeping bags or on top of bedding. There was trash and person items scattered about. One person was also cited for drinking in public.
At 2:30 p.m. three people, ranging in age between 25 to 51 were contacted by the Oak Street Bridge after not cleaning up the extensive mess they had created earlier in the day.
All 14 people were released after being cited by Roseburg Police.
