COUNCIL TO CONSIDER THREE ORDINANCES

The Roseburg City Council will consider three proposed ordinances at its meeting Monday night.
Councilors will vote on accepting the latest and updated edition of the Oregon Fire Code. They will also vote on adopting 2011-2018 legislative changes to State traffic laws adopted by the City Code. The final ordinance asks councilors to adopt State Specialty Codes, Administrative Rules and the International Property Maintenance Code which have been updated.
Councilors will vote on making a $263,000 acquisition of new Self-Contained Breath Apparatus units to replace the units purchased in 2005. These will make the Fire Department compliant with current standards, according to information from staff.
The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in council chambers.
