A Roseburg man was cited and released following an incident at Mercy Medical Center on Saturday morning.
A report from Roseburg Police said just before 5:00 a.m. the 36-year old allegedly began beating his head against the foot rail of his bed, while being treated at the hospital. The report said staff tried to restrain him so he couldn’t harm himself. During this time the suspect reportedly kicked one staff member in the throat, and bit another on the back of the right arm.
The man was charged with two counts of harassment and then was released from custody.
