MAN JAILED FOR METHAMPHETAMINE POSSESSION

A Winston man was jailed for unlawful possession of methamphetamine by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday.
A report from DCSO said a deputy stopped a vehicle near the corner of Southeast Stephens Street and Kane Avenue in Roseburg at about 9:45 p.m. for violations. 36-year old Christopher Musquiz was taken into custody for a previous investigation.
The report said while taking the man into custody he allegedly admitted to having a bag of methamphetamine in his pocket. It was seized. A search of a safe that was in the backseat reportedly revealed numerous syringes and rinse bags which were also seized.
Musquiz was also held for a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was initially detained on $100,000 bail.
