DRIVER LOSES CONTROL AND CRASHES ON FREEWAY

A California driver lost control and crashed on Interstate Five Saturday afternoon.
A report from the Oregon State Police said just after 4:30 p.m. a 19-year old woman from Visalia, was headed north near the Yoncalla and Drain exit. The report said the driver hit a cable barrier after she reached for some papers on the dash and drifted off the gravel lane onto the left shoulder of the road.
The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. The driver and a 19-year old passenger who lives in Oregon, were taken to a nearby location to wait for a ride.
