ONE PERSON HURT IN DOWNTOWN ROSEBURG WRECK

One person was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck in downtown Roseburg on Monday.
A report from the Roseburg Police said at 8:45 a.m.an 18-year old woman was traveling east on Oak as she approached the intersection with Southeast Stephens. The woman started to change lanes and did not see the red light in front of her, according to the report. Another vehicle operated by a 60-year old woman was traveling north in the right lane of Stephens as she approached the intersection with Oak. The second driver saw the first vehicle enter the intersection on a red light but was not able to avoid a collision. The accident took place in the middle of the intersection.
A passenger in the second vehicle complained of neck pain and was taken to Mercy Medical Center via ambulance. Both cars suffered extensive damage and appeared to be totaled.
