MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTING A TEEN

A Roseburg man was jailed Saturday, accused of allegedly assaulting a male teen, at his residence on Veterans Way.
The Roseburg Police report said officers responded to the domestic disturbance at about 3:30 p.m. An investigation revealed that 62-year old Kenneth Krause had reportedly physically assaulted the 16-year old and allegedly threatened him with a kitchen knife. The report said the boy sustained minor injuries from reportedly being punched by Krause.
Child Welfare responded and placed the victim, along with several siblings, into protective custody.
Krause was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, menacing and for harassment. He was initially detained on $58,750 bail.
