Two people were hurt in a three-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon on Highway 138W near Sutherlin.
A report from Oregon State Police said just after 2:00 p.m. the collision happened at the intersection with Stearns Lane. The report said an SUV had been on Stearns Lane traveling southbound. The driver, a 37-year old woman from Sutherlin, stopped at the intersection with the highway. The driver then pulled out onto the highway headed eastbound. A pickup driven by a 65-year old man from Florence, was eastbound passing Stearns Lane when the SUV allegedly pulled out into the side of it. The impact pushed the SUV back into the westbound lane when it struck a second pickup. That vehicle, operated by a 53-year old Sutherlin man, left the north side of the roadway and rolled onto its side.
The drivers of the SUV and the second pickup, were transported to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries. They were both treated and released, according to a hospital spokesperson.
The driver of the SUV was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
