VETS AND PETS EVENT AT AVIVA HEALTH ON FRIDAY

November 7, 2019 10:25 a.m.
Aviva Health is hosting the third annual Vets and Their Pets event to honor Douglas County veterans, on Friday.
Activities include a free barbecue for veterans and their families, free haircuts for people that have served, and a health information booth staffed by Aviva Health. Dogs that attend can get free grooming, a tasty treat, and vaccinations while supplies last.
In addition, representatives from Blue Zones Project Umpqua, the American Red Cross, CHI Mercy Health, NeighborWorks Umpqua, Umpqua Valley Disabilities Network, the United Community Action Network, WorkSource Douglas and Adapt will provide information on a variety of resources available for veterans and their families.
CEO KC Bolton said Vets and their Pets allows the organization “the privilege of honoring members of our community who bravely and selflessly served our country”. He said it also allows them to introduce the variety of clinical services and programs Aviva offers to a “vulnerable population who deserves the very best care”.
Vets and Their Pets will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Aviva’s health center location on Kenneth Ford Drive near Costco.
More information about the event is on the Aviva Health Facebook page.
KC Bolton talked about the event on the Morning Conversation Thursday on News Radio 1240 KQEN. That interview is a KQEN Podcast at www.541radio.com.
