PROPERTY TAXES DUE BY NOVEMBER 15TH

October 24, 2019 3:35 a.m.
The Douglas County Tax Office has started mailing property tax statements, and property owners have until November 15th to pay at least a portion of their taxes.
A release from the department said to get the 3 percent discount, payment in full must be received or post marked by November 15th. Those who pay the first trimester payment now must make the remaining payments by February 18th and May 15th.
Payments can be made in person at the Tax Collection Office in room 205 of the courthouse. They can also be mailed to the Douglas County Tax Collector at PO Box 8403 in Medford, 97501-0803. That payment mailing address is a change from previous years.
Property owners using the mail should make their payment early so that it gets postmarked in advance of the deadline. Payments can also be made at the drop box which is in front of the courthouse.
On-line payments can also be made at www.co.douglas.or.us, using a credit or debit card, or an eCheck. If payment is made this way, transaction fees will apply.
The Tax Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays but it will be closed on November 11th for the Veterans Day holiday. Call the Tax Office at 440-4253 for more information.
