A Roseburg man died in a single vehicle accident on Garden Valley Road on Wednesday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just after 8:30 p.m. deputies responded to reports of a roll over crash near the intersection with Cedrus Lane. The driver, 48-year old Travis Crain, was confirmed to be deceased at the scene by personnel from Douglas County Fire District No. 2.
An investigation revealed that Crain was traveling towards Roseburg when his vehicle veered towards the right and left the roadway. The vehicle rolled and landed on its top approximately five feet down an embankment and into a field.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell said the wreck is still under investigation but it appears that bald tires and the weather may have been contributing factors.
