INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY AFTER PEDESTRIAN WAS HIT BY VEHICLE

An investigation is underway, after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Roseburg.
Sergeant Jeff Eichenbusch of the Roseburg Police said just after 2:30 a.m. officers responded to the report of a male laying in the roadway in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens. Eichenbusch said 18-year old Isaiah Freeman was found with numerous injuries, which were determined to be caused when he was struck by a passing vehicle. Freeman was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he was treated for non-life- threatening injuries and then released. He is expected to make a full recovery, according to Eichenbusch.
A person of interest was identified in the incident and they were contacted by officers. During the investigation a vehicle was seized for processing for potential evidence from the accident.
