TRANSIENT CITED AFTER THROWING AWAY "NO LOITERING" SIGN

A transient was cited after allegedly throwing away a “no loitering” sign on Wednesday morning.
A report from the Roseburg Police said the 44-year old man was allegedly seen on surveillance pulling off the sign from First Presbyterian Church on Southeast Lane. The man then bent the sign in half before putting it in a trash can. He was contacted around 11:00 a.m. and charged with second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft.
He was released after the citation was issued.
