Aviva Health will host its third annual Vets and Their Pets event to honor Douglas County veterans for their service in the armed forces on Friday November 8^th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the health center’s Roseburg location on Kenneth Ford Drive near Costco.
A release from Aviva said the day’s festivities, supported in part by a donation from the Roseburg Walmart, include a free barbecue for veterans and their families, free haircuts from Angels Dream Salon for people who have served, and a health information booth from Aviva Health. Dogs will get free grooming from Sutherlin Grooming and Good Dog Bakery will have tasty treats for veteran’s four-legged friends. For the Love of Paw Veterinary Clinic will also provide vaccinations for dogs while supplies last.
In addition, representatives from groups like Blue Zones Project, NeighborWorks Umpqua, United Community Action Network and many more, will provide information on a variety of resources available for veterans and their families.
