MAN JAILED AFTER VEHICLE HITS YMCA

A Roseburg man was jailed after his vehicle hit the YMCA on Thursday night.
Information from the Roseburg Police said the incident happened just before 8:45 p.m. The report said a pickup crashed into a parked car in the YMCA lot and tried to leave before crashing into the YMCA building itself. The suspect walked away from the accident but was located a short time later at the Fir Grove soccer fields. The report said that surveillance footage confirmed that 30-year old Timothy Murrain was the driver. The man allegedly displayed signs of impairment.
He was charged with two counts of failure to perform the duties of a driver, for reckless endangering and for DUII alcohol. Murrain was initially detained on $28,750 bail.
No one was injured in the incident. Damage was estimated to be several thousand dollars.
