The Oregon Recreational Trails Advisory Council will meet in Roseburg on October 2nd.
A release from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department said the agenda includes program updates and recommendations for appointing new and returning members to the council.
The ORTAC was established by the Oregon State Legislature in 1971 to advise the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department and its partners in the development and promotion of high quality non-motorized trail systems throughout Oregon.
It is made up of seven volunteer members including one from each of the five congressional districts, and two coastal representatives. Members are appointed by the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Commission. The council has quarterly meetings around the state.
The meeting will be in the Deer Creek Room of the Roseburg Public Library from 1:00 pm. to 4:00 p.m. It is open to the public.
