LEIF FILES FOR ANOTHER TERM AS STATE REPRESENTATIVE

On Thursday, State Representative Gary Leif filed for another term in House District 2.
Leif, was appointed to the legislature in April of 2018 to finish the term vacated by Dallas Heard who moved to the State Senate following the resignation of Jeff Kruse. The Roseburg Republican was elected to a full-term in November of 2018.
A release from Leif said in the upcoming session he will be serving as Vice Chair of the Water Committee, on the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Transportation, on the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Public Safety, and as a member of both the Community College Caucus and the Sportsman Caucus.
Leif’s release said he will “continue efforts to build bridges with metropolitan legislators who control so much of the rule making process”. He said he is “anxious and energized” to continue representing rural Oregon.
Leif is a former Douglas County Commissioner who spent 40 years as a business owner. He served on numerous committees and boards around the county.
