Last week Oregon Department of State Lands Director Vicki Walker approved extending the deadline for the Removal-Fill permit decision on the Jordan Cove LNG application, to January 31, 2020.
A DSL release said the move was based on a September 13th letter from the applicant requesting the extension. The agency had been scheduled to decide on the permit on September 20th of this year.
The release said Jordan Cove LNG also agreed to submit by October 20th, a second set of responses to questions surrounding substantive and technical issues that are not yet resolved. On September 4th, DSL received and is reviewing the applicants first set of responses. This is the second extension given by DSL on this application. The first one was given on March 5th, according to the release.
