The College in the Community lecture series kicks off next week.
The Roseburg Public Library has partnered with the Douglas Education Service District and Umpqua Community College to offer the free series as part of its adult programming. Sessions will continue the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. through May. College professors and other experts will share their knowledge on topics that are intended to educate and entertain.
Library Director Kris Wiley said the series will “have something for everyone”. She hopes the wide range of topics will inspire community members and spark conversations.
The series will begin with Jason Aase, Dean of Career and Technical Education at UCC speaking on the topic of “What’s Past is Prologue: Earthquakes and Tsunami in the Pacific Northwest” on September 19th.
