A vacancy exists on the Historic Resource Review Committee, and County government is seeking people interested in serving.
The committee was created to advise the Board of Commissioners about the County’s historic resources. The term of appointment is 4 years.
Committee membership includes one professional historian or history instructor, 2 representatives of historical organizations, a representative of the Cow Creek Umpqua Tribe, and 3 members at large with knowledge of history, architecture, archaeology or cultural and historic resources. The member’s term that is expired represents a member at large and the recruitment will give priority to applicants that can represent southern Douglas County.
The committee usually meets 4 times a year.
