HEAVY RAIN LEADS TO SINGLE VEHICLE WRECK

Heavy rain led to a single vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon about 4 miles north of Myrtle Creek.
A report from the Oregon State Police said at about 3:15 p.m. a small sedan was northbound in the left lane of travel. There was standing water on the roadway and the vehicle began to hydroplane according to the report.  The vehicle went to the right and hit a concrete barrier on the right shoulder. It came to rest against the concrete barrier facing to the southeast.
The 21-year old driver was not hurt.
