TRANSIENT CITED IN OFFENSIVE LITTERING CASE

A transient was cited in an offensive littering case on Monday.
A report from the Roseburg Police said at about 11:30 a.m. the 66-year old man was seen at a camp he had set up behind a business in the 1800 block of Diamond Lake Boulevard. That location was about 15 feet from the bank of Deer Creek. The report said there was a very large amount of trash surrounding the man’s tent.
He was cited for littering near a waterway and for prohibited camping and then was released.
