MAN JAILED FOLLOWING DISTURBANCE

A Roseburg man was jailed following a disturbance on Saturday afternoon.
A report from the Roseburg Police said just after 3:00 p.m. officers responded to the McDonalds on Garden Valley Boulevard for a report of a man being disorderly and harassing customers. 46-year old Jerry Smith was contacted and advised to stop his behavior. As the officer started to leave, the man started acting up again, according to the report. The officer told the man he was going to jail but the suspect struggled while being detained. Once inside the police vehicle, Smith allegedly caused some damage by kicking it.
Smith was charged with second degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and for criminal mischief. He was detained on $15,000 bail.
