Roseburg hit a high temperature of 94 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport on Thursday.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the high was not a record for the date. That was 104 degrees set in 1944. In spite of the thunderstorms, Roseburg received hardly any rain. As of early Friday morning, only .05 of an inch of rain had fallen in the past 24 hours.
The Umpqua Valley is in for cooler temperatures for the next week with a high in the low 80s on Friday before temperatures drop into the 70s for several days. A chance of rain is in the forecast between Saturday night and Tuesday night.
