TWO PEOPLE CITED IN ASSAULT INCIDENT

2 people were cited in an assault incident on Monday night.
Information from the Roseburg Police said at about 11:45p.m. a 22-year old Grants Pass man allegedly drove recklessly in the 900 block of Stanton Street after being yelled at by neighbors for his speed. The report said the man then went back to the residence of a 31-year old woman to confront the neighbors.
The report said the woman went to the driver’s side of the man’s vehicle and allegedly punched the man in the face. The man then backed up suddenly, knocking the woman down. The man had injuries consistent with being punched in the face, including having a chipped tooth. The woman was taken to Mercy Medical for her injuries from falling backwards.
The woman was cited for 4th degree assault while the man was cited for reckless driving.
Both were released after being cited. She was treated and released.
