A driver was hurt after his vehicle struck a disabled vehicle Monday afternoon on Interstate 5 near the Harvard Avenue exit in Roseburg.
An OSP report said just before 5:00 p.m. a southbound Toyota Prius hit a Ford Explorer, when the Prius left its lane of travel. The driver of the Prius was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
The wreck caused a lengthy backup on both southbound lanes of Interstate 5 for a time. Due to the high traffic volume during the afternoon commute, the freeway was backed up prior to the Edenbower interchange, around 2 miles away.
